1. Roof Space covers your item (Market Value) for theft or damage during transit, up to a maximum of $3,000 or repair of the item whichever is the least. The guarantee will only cover items that have been listed through our website and transported by a verified driver.

Market value: the depreciated cost being what you would value the item as is allowing for age and current condition. Market value is not the replacement cost.

2. We will automatically cover your item under our Guarantee for;
2a) Theft whilst in transit to the final destination.
2b) Damage whilst in transit.

3. In the event of theft of the sender’s item you the driver must report the theft to the police and obtain a police report form which must be provided to Roof Space New Zealand (NZ).

4. In the event of damage to the sender’s item Roof Space NZ require the following appropriate documentation;
4a) Photos or video of the item where damage has occurred.

4b) Photos or video of the item showing there was no damage before the verified driver picked it up.

5. In the event of damage Roof Space NZ will pay upto $3,000 to repair the damaged item.
5a) A invoice will need to be provided to Roof Space to confirm the total amount which then Roof Space will pay directly to the business.

6. In the event of the driver not being you the person who created the account on our website or loss resulting from fraud, fraudulent activity, breach of NZTA road rules or Roof Space NZ terms and conditions Roof Space NZ retain full rights to seek full recovery of costs incurred by Roof Space NZ including any associated costs.
